Covid

So, COVID finally hit our family.  After lots of near misses with several other family members (and friends- BFF Cathy and husband had it-thankfully I was away on my Charm Girl's trip)- but it finally caught up with Brandi and her family.  We think Hallee Babe brought it home from her Un-Homecoming (we won't point fingers) but then Brandi got it big time!  Because she is in healthcare, she is tested twice a week.  Addi tested negative- and was so excited to be asked to dress (and probably play) varsity in the regional playoffs in high school soccer.  She was broken-hearted that not only could she not play but she couldn't even attend the game.  Instant 2 week quarantine for the whole family.  Just as well, as one by one they all got it.  The girls have been bearable but Brandi has had it so bad, that yesterday she was sent to an Instacare for an IV and they sent her home with 2 IV bags.  She has been a sick puppy but doing a bit better today.  Doug has been very sick as well but seems on the mend.

So ready for this to be over...

Nothing exciting going on.  Zoom church on Sundays.  Our study group is doing a Zoom The Infinite Atonement class on Thursdays.  We finally went out to dinner with Cathy and Kirk now that they are all better and heading off to Florida.  Mallorie and Sam and the kidlets came this weekend- their new baby Sophia Brin is so beautiful!  They make great babies!  Witchie Days are suppose to be Saturday but who knows with all the "stuff" going on.

Bingham Un-Homecoming

With Covid still playing havoc with being a teenager and all things high school, Hallee Babe just had a week of fun un-events.  One day it was Dynamic Duo days and another it was matching face mask day

She looked so beautiful for the “non-dance”- dinner and dancing as a group.  I loved Hallee’s dress and butterfly clips

I love the wonderful photo shoot with Addi❤️

And her wrist corsage...

And her cute beau with dimples.

They had a wonderful time, making great memories!  Oh to be 16 going on 17 !

Don’t you love the sign above their fireplace!!!

Hawaii and Flamingoes!!!

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a flamingo in Hawaii but we sure pretended we did!  Fay made our flamingo day so fun- with flamingo aprons and shopping bag and face mask and headband💕

Look at these darling pineapples she made from apple fritters!!!! Cutest ever!

Since we were in ‘Hawaii” we had dinner at Anthony’s for seafood. Another glorious day and no one even got sun burnt!

Taco Tuesday Fiesta Siesta

We started Taco Tuesday with our favorite Mexican breakfast tacos (recipe on the cooking blog)

We took a few pics then packed our bodies up and drove to Coeur D’alene for the day. It really is so beautiful there. We visited Fay’s brother and wife and had a great afternoon with them.

Dinner was at a fabulous Mexican restaurant where once again we stuffed ourselves.  We loved our trip to Mexico (and each of us shared personal experiences on various trips to Mexico) and no one had to worry about the water!  We ended the evening with several rounds of Mexican Train.  Ole!!!

A Day in France/ Charm Girl Style

Debbie was in charge of our trip to France.  We had a wonderful dinner at the Lahta Bistro and Fay and I are determined to re-create the Shrimp Mornay and the Mushroom ravioli !  Double yum!

Debbie had a stash of mustaches!  I totally think we look French!  That night Debbie fixed us crepes with mixed fruit and bubbly.  Bon appetit!

Charmies in Spokane- Day3/Gift Bags

This is our darling bungalow in Spokane. It served us well!

We couldn’t wait to get there because it meant gift bag time!  Yay!  This is like Christmas to us🌲

Look how darling the gift bag was from Dawn!  And she made us a matching luggage tag and filled our bags with our favorite treats!!!

Friend Debbie crocheted each of us a mermaid bag filled with all sorts of goodies. Two favorites were a framed picture of us and also a lovely Dream Catcher she made for each of us!
Pam’s gift came in this darling collapsible storage box.  She went with fall and buffalo check decor to decorate our homes for autumn!   The pillow sham and stuffed pumpkins were so cute!

And then Fay.  We had theme days/nights and so Fay took us to Hawaii filled with flamingoes!  Such a riot- you’ll see more when we have flamingo day.

Can you believe she painted these Santa gourds for us!!!!

Then when Christmas is over, you turn the gourd around and you get flamingos!!!! So talented!
We also got all sorts of flamingo gear and a darling bejeweled journal (adorned with a flamingo, of course!)

And then my bag.  I did a Fiesta bag that included things for our Fiesta day-  I loved the Fiesta Then Siesta bag!  I use all my Charm Girl bags through the years for shopping and overnighters and Powell.  We are reminded of each other over and over!

My favorite treat in the bag was the Nacho Ordinary Salsa bowl and spoon.  I love the Mud Pie dishes!

Also, each year I do a Shutterfly book from our trip the previous year.

I had Pretty Patty Petty makes chili pepper face masks and I also put in a Goya Mexican chocolate bar for creamy Mexican hot chocolate as well.

Lots of other goodies in all the bags. Fun. Fun. Fun.

That evening we went to McKenzie River for dinner. We had fried pickles and breaded cheese curds and other yummy stuff.  Such a fun, fun day.  (How many times can I use the word “fun” here!)
