Going to spend a week in Guatemala with Ryan and Marci and family (one of Josh's last hurrahs before leaving on his mission) and David and I and son Tanner and kiddo Peyton. I'm ready for relaxing. I'm ready for reading. I'm ready for eating non-stop. Hoping to make wonderful new memories!

Over and Out
The Easter Eggstravaganza has been a wonderful 12-year tradition. This year has been my last one. I think it is time. The kiddos are growing up (although I still have a few littles) and my energy is going down. I'll have to think of something new for next year but I'm think this is the best year to end. I have loved looking through all the old pictures...there are hundreds. So fun to see the kiddos grow and families grow and good friends and food and springtime! I loved seeing my mother in law smiling- she thought filling eggs was great fun and especially popping a candy in her mouth! The kids used to hunt through the trees while they were growing...but they grew too (over 13 feet high) and were all sold in the fall- this weekend (after David's hard work!)- the field was ready to be sprayed for pasture.
I fulfilled my Bucket List of re-creating a wonderful traditional hunt like the final scenes of Steel Magnolias. It sang to my heart and has been a wonderful event and memory for my kiddos and I.
The most treasured heirlooms that we can pass down to our children is wonderful family memories.

Bri!
Doug's daughter, therefore my grand- graduated from the U of U a couple of weeks ago. ! So proud of her hard work! At the beginning of her senior year of college, she won a special grant that allowed her to become a teacher a year earlier, her own classroom for the entire year and 1/2 pay rather than paying for her senior year! It was such an honor and she loves teaching 2nd grade!
Friday night Brandi and Doug hosted a graduation party for her. Bri's favorite meal is haystacks so they fixed that plus fancier ones with a chicken curry and mango chutney dressing as well. Lots of fun desserts. Nice evening!
