Oh Thank Heaven.....

Oh my cuteness.  Brandi and friends, Heather and Stephanie and others just hosted a bridal shower for one of their past young women.  Brittney's getting married on 7-11......so they thought she totally needed a 7-11 shower!  Heather made the invites and signs- explaining how to make various 7-11 hot dogs!

I especially liked the Keep Calm and Drink Slurpees.  What a fun, fun party!

Girl's camp

This week is Girl's Camp.  I got off easy...with just taking up Syd after cheer camp (one of the Laurel's) and doing crafts for the afternoon.  I've gotten a lot of static from David and also my daughter, Brandi about our "camp."  We are actually staying in a luxury cabin at Brighton Ski Resort.....pretty nice digs.    The dining room table below seats 22 people.  I was in covet-ville.

The crafts we did were Father's Day Pops- with a love note tucked inside.

Although our camp theme is "An Attitude of Gratitude"- I made Choose to Shine crafts.
First we did sugar scrubs to make their legs and feet shine  (plus I knew they were doing mani's and pedi's that evening)

....and also a block "Choose to Shine" to remind them happiness is a choice (and strive to live so that's Christ's light can shine through us.)

 Love Brighton.

Love this kind of camping!  (:)

Today I'm missing out (too bad!) on a GIANT hike in the mountains....but I might bring up girls that have other commitments tomorrow for service at the Ronald McDonald House.

I've had lots of tender feelings because Girl's Camp for me growing up was a life changer.  I love the Charm Girl's and all the memories we shared together.  My life is not the same because of them.....

Nash

My pitching philosophy is simple- keep the ball away from the bat!  Satchel Paige

That's the true harbinger of spring, not crocuses or swallows returning to Capistrano, but the sound of a bat on a ball. ~Bill Veeck
